A useful carousel moves from one audience question to a clear next action. Assign each slide a role, a short headline, a visual, and a fact to verify. Five slides are a starting structure, not a requirement: remove a slide when it adds no useful information.
Edit a complete story outline.
Make the opening specific enough to continue.
“Five things about coffee” describes the subject. “Which grind fits your morning?” names a decision. The second opening gives the reader a reason to inspect the next slide, provided the rest of the carousel actually helps with that decision.
Avoid an opening that promises an answer the product information cannot support. Before designing, write the answer in plain language. If the team cannot agree on it, resolve the product question first.
Build the middle around one useful progression.
The worked example moves from the brewer someone owns to the relevant product guidance, then addresses uncertainty. It does not switch midway into a company introduction or a general lifestyle story. Each slide reduces the uncertainty introduced at the beginning.
Keep supporting information close to the point it qualifies. A product limitation on slide four may be missed by someone who only sees slide two. If a statement needs a condition to be accurate, include that condition with the statement.
Check each slide and the complete sequence.
- View each exported image at roughly phone size and read it without zooming.
- Check that the product and its labels remain consistent between slides.
- Swipe through in order, then inspect the first and last slides independently.
- Confirm that the caption continues the same offer and points to the intended destination.
- Check the current publishing interface for crops and placement overlays.
A decorative arrow is not a substitute for a logical next slide. The reader should understand why the next idea follows. Use the same review standard for the visual sequence as for the written outline.
Export the plan with the delivery.
The text download retains your current edits. The blank CSV offers columns for slide role, headline, body copy, visual, source reference, and review status. Leave a source blank when it is genuinely missing rather than filling it with a plausible assumption.
Once the carousel is approved, save the plan alongside the ordered exports and version record. That makes it easier to adapt the message into a video without losing the evidence or changing the offer.
