What does an approved creative actually cost? Aitoma worked example Source: https://aitoma.ai/tools/cost-per-approved-creative#cost-visual HYPOTHETICAL USD EXAMPLE — not measured customer results. This is a static worked example. It does not change with your calculator inputs. 1. Count the full batch cost. Cash expenses: $300. Internal work: 6 hours at $40 per hour = $240. Total: $300 + $240 = $540. Include briefing, production, review and revisions. Include work on rejected candidates. Do not count labor twice if it is already included in an invoice. 2. Keep the same batch and define approval. 12 distinct candidate content pieces were produced. 9 were approved at the measurement cutoff; 3 were not approved. An approved piece meets the agreed acceptance criteria. Approval is separate from publication and advertising performance. The 9 may have required revisions; this is not a first-pass approval count. 3. Use the denominator that answers your question. Cost per candidate produced: $540 / 12 = $45. Cost per approved creative: $540 / 9 = $60. Both figures are correct; they describe different outcomes. 4. Make comparisons consistently. Use the same content unit, cost boundary, approval criteria and cutoff. A complete carousel may count as one piece; do not switch to counting individual slides to increase the approval count. A revised export is not automatically a new candidate. When no pieces are approved, cost per approved creative is undefined, not zero. Use your own inputs in the calculator.
